Residents of Bolesławiec, the Bolesławiec County, and nearby towns should exercise particular caution when using forested areas near the training ground in Świętoszów. Live ammunition is being used during shooting exercises at the Żagań Ground Forces Training Center.
The exercises include both daytime and nighttime shooting. According to the communicated message, the activities are scheduled to take place from January 12 to December 31, 2026.
The military reminds that entering the training ground may pose a serious threat to life and health. Therefore, unauthorized individuals are not allowed to be in this area without proper permission.
The boundaries of military areas are marked with special signs that indicate a strict prohibition of entry. This prohibition also applies when no exercises are visible at that moment.
A person who is apprehended by security services while illegally present on the training ground may be handed over to the Police or Military Gendarmerie.
Particular attention should be paid by residents of towns located near the training ground and by those planning to go to the forest. Do not cross the marked boundaries of the military area or ignore warning signs.
In areas where exercises involving live ammunition are taking place, even seemingly calm areas can pose a real threat.
